Cheaper Solar Thermal Power: A simpler design could reduce the cost of solar power generated by concentrating sunlight on Stirling engines. By Kevin Bullis

Stirling Energy Systems (SES) 12-meter-wide system generate 25 kWe. That is more than enough for a house or many other remote locations.  The persistent evolution of the Sterlin Engine may soon see furition in a variety of applications.  It would be interesting to see if SES narrow bands on the big multi-megawatt systems or diversifies into a variety of applications. A company and solution to watch.
